Roles and Permissions

What owners, admins, and members can usually do inside a GeoQR organization.

GeoQR organizations use roles so teams can collaborate without giving everyone the same level of control.

If something is missing:

When an expected action does not appear, do not assume the app is broken. In most cases, the action is limited by role or by billing access for the organization.

The Main Roles

You may see one of these roles in your organization:

  • Owner
  • Admin
  • Member

Owner

Owners usually have the broadest control.

Typical owner actions include:

  • managing organization details
  • inviting teammates
  • changing member roles
  • removing members
  • managing billing
  • requesting organization deletion

Admin

Admins can usually help run the organization day to day.

Typical admin actions include:

  • inviting teammates
  • managing members
  • updating organization settings
  • handling billing tasks

Admins are not the same as owners. Some high-risk actions, such as deleting the organization, may still be owner-only.

Member

Members can use the organization but may not see management actions.

Typical member behavior:

  • create and manage QR work
  • review analytics
  • use organization features they have access to
  • contact an admin or owner when a management action is blocked

If You Cannot See an Action

If you expected to do something but the option is missing, one of these is usually true:

  • your role does not allow it
  • the organization does not currently have billing access
  • the item is still in use somewhere else, such as a QR code using a domain or media file

Common Examples

I want to invite a teammate

If you do not see the option, ask an admin or owner.

I want to change billing

If the billing action is not available, ask an admin or owner.

I want to delete the organization

This is usually limited to the owner.
