Create and Sign In to Your Account

How account creation, email verification, sign-in, password reset, and two-factor sign-in work in GeoQR.

Create an Account

To create an account:

  1. Open the sign-up page.
  2. Enter your details.
  3. Submit the form.
  4. Check your inbox for the verification email.
  5. Verify your email before trying to use the main app.

Email Verification

GeoQR requires email verification for password-based accounts.

Until your email is verified:

  • you may be able to sign in
  • but you will not finish the normal setup flow cleanly

If you do not see the email:

  • check spam or junk
  • confirm you used the correct address
  • try signing in again to trigger another verification flow if needed

Sign In

You can sign in with your GeoQR account and continue to the app.

After sign-in, GeoQR sends you to:

  • your dashboard, if you already have an active organization
  • onboarding, if you still need to join or create an organization

Forgot Your Password

Use the forgot-password flow if you cannot sign in with your password.

You will receive a reset link by email. Use that link to set a new password and then sign in again.

Two-Factor Authentication

GeoQR supports authenticator-based two-factor authentication.

When 2FA is enabled:

  • you sign in with your password first
  • then confirm the sign-in with a 6-digit authenticator code

When you enable 2FA, GeoQR also shows backup codes. Save those codes somewhere safe. Each code can be used once.

Important to Know

  • Two-factor setup currently works for accounts that have a password.
  • If your account does not yet have a password, set one first and then return to the security settings.
