Create and Sign In to Your Account
How account creation, email verification, sign-in, password reset, and two-factor sign-in work in GeoQR.
Create an Account
To create an account:
- Open the sign-up page.
- Enter your details.
- Submit the form.
- Check your inbox for the verification email.
- Verify your email before trying to use the main app.
Email Verification
GeoQR requires email verification for password-based accounts.
Until your email is verified:
- you may be able to sign in
- but you will not finish the normal setup flow cleanly
If you do not see the email:
- check spam or junk
- confirm you used the correct address
- try signing in again to trigger another verification flow if needed
Sign In
You can sign in with your GeoQR account and continue to the app.
After sign-in, GeoQR sends you to:
- your dashboard, if you already have an active organization
- onboarding, if you still need to join or create an organization
Forgot Your Password
Use the forgot-password flow if you cannot sign in with your password.
You will receive a reset link by email. Use that link to set a new password and then sign in again.
Two-Factor Authentication
GeoQR supports authenticator-based two-factor authentication.
When 2FA is enabled:
- you sign in with your password first
- then confirm the sign-in with a 6-digit authenticator code
When you enable 2FA, GeoQR also shows backup codes. Save those codes somewhere safe. Each code can be used once.
Important to Know
- Two-factor setup currently works for accounts that have a password.
- If your account does not yet have a password, set one first and then return to the security settings.
