Notifications

How GeoQR alerts you about issues, where to read them, and how notification settings work.

GeoQR uses notifications to call attention to issues that may affect your QR codes.

Where Notifications Appear

Use the bell icon in the app header to open the notification inbox.

Inside the inbox, you can:

  • view all notifications
  • switch to unread only
  • mark all as read
  • open the related QR code directly

What Notifications Are For

Notifications are focused on QR destination issues that need review.

Examples include:

  • a destination that looks invalid
  • a destination that needs attention before it should be trusted

At the moment, the notification system is centered on redirect safety rather than general activity updates.

Email and In-App Delivery

For each notification type, you can choose whether you want:

  • in-app delivery
  • email delivery
  • both

These preferences are managed in Settings.

If you want fewer emails, keep in-app notifications enabled and turn off email for lower-priority review work.

You can also reset unsaved changes in notification settings before saving new preferences.

What Happens When You Open One

When you open a notification, GeoQR takes you to the related QR code so you can review and fix the problem faster.

A Simple Way To Work Through Notifications

  1. Open the unread tab.
  2. Start with the newest issue.
  3. Open the related QR code.
  4. Fix the destination or design problem.
  5. Test again.

If the Inbox Looks Empty

If you do not see anything in the inbox:

  • switch between All and Unread
  • confirm your active organization is the one you expect
  • check your notification preferences in Settings
  • remember that notifications appear only when GeoQR detects redirect issues that need review
